MATT DE ROGATIS

Matt de Rogatis has served as Chairman and Creative Director of Ruth Stage since 2019. As an actor, he has appeared in numerous Off-Broadway productions, including Richard III in Austin Pendleton’s Wars of the Roses, Frederick Clegg in The Collector, Roy in Lone Star, and Tom Wingfield in The Glass Menagerie.
He is the only artist to have both produced and starred in an Off-Broadway production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, off Broadway, achieving this distinction in 2022 and 2023. His performance as Brick drew critical praise, including recognition from The New York Times. His work has also been featured on CBS, FOX, NY1, PIX11, and on multiple Times Square billboards.
Beyond performance, de Rogatis is the driving force behind Ruth Stage, overseeing all aspects of the organization’s operations, including fundraising, marketing, public relations, donor development and contract negotiation. Under his leadership, the company has established ongoing productions in New York City and Asbury Park, New Jersey, while advancing a broader expansion strategy with planned work in New Orleans, Chicago, and Rome.
